🖋️ Classes & Workshops

Drypoint Etching

In this class, students will learn how to scratch etch on plexiglass. We’ll cover paper and ink options and dive deep into the etching and printing process.

Duration: 3.5 hours

Follow-up sessions are available for those wanting to explore texture styles or inking techniques further.

What’s included:

• 1 sheet of BFK paper

• 1 plexi block

• Access to studio stock inks
  (Additional paper or blocks are available for purchase.)

Students will leave with a finished drypoint print and the knowledge to continue creating on their own.

Lino Printing Class

This introductory class focuses on the basics of relief printing. We’ll explore the types of materials on the market and discuss the best ones for beginners. Learn hand-printing techniques vs. using a press, and take a deep dive into current relief inks.

Duration: 4 hours

Textile Printing Class

Learn how to print on fabric without screen printing! Students will design and carve a rubber block to print on textiles such as shirts, cotton towels, or aprons.

Duration: 3.5 hours

This is a great intro to textile and T-shirt printing.

What’s included:

• 1 carved rubber block

• 1 Gildan T-shirt (please provide your size in advance)
  Additional fabric items are available in the studio or can be brought from home.

Solar Printing Workshop – Napa Studio

Runs a few times per year – Email to inquire

Solar printing combines photography, painting, and printmaking into one exciting and repeatable technique.

Options:

• Single-day intro

• Two-day workshop (recommended for first-timers)

The two-day workshop covers three different methods of exposing, developing, and printing a solar plate.

Includes:

• One 8x10 solar plate

• One sheet of BFK paper
  (Additional plates available for purchase.)

Tetra Pak Printmaking

 – Group Rates Available

A creative, eco-friendly class using recycled Tetra Pak materials to make unique intaglio-style prints. Great for group projects!

Duration: 4–5 hours (depending on group size)

Includes:

• One Tetra Pak plate (8x10)

• One sheet of BFK paper
  (Extra paper available in-studio.)
